Pour it into a glass and its deep amber red colour sets the scene for a rich, malty Premium Bitter with caramel and fruit flavours, followed by a pleasing bitterness that lingers just long enough to tempt you back for another sip. Brewed with Stonehenge Spring Water, Great Bustard was originally created to celebrate the reintroduction of its rather magnificent namesake to Salisbury Plain. That local connection makes it a brilliant bottle to give to a beer lover, particularly someone with a soft spot for Wiltshire, while its impressive collection of awards means there is plenty of substance behind the story.
