It seems even Father Christmas enjoys a change of scenery now and then. This charming little decoration captures him taking to the skies in his very own vintage aeroplane, complete with a cosy scarf, traditional festive colours and a rather determined expression. With its gently aged finish and delightful painted details, it has all the character of a treasured Christmas decoration brought out year after year.
Imagine it suspended among the branches of your Christmas tree, gently bobbing on its spring as the fairy lights catch its painted wings. There is something wonderfully nostalgic about decorations like this, the sort that make you smile each time you notice them. A little festive humour, a touch of childhood wonder and perhaps the beginning of a new Christmas tradition.
