October is a special month.

It was in October 12 years ago that we first opened our shop – at that time called Essentially for You. Tucked away up a little alleyway, which even long term residents of Devizes said that they did not know existed, passing trade was always hard to come by. Then in October 2018 we took the opportunity to relocate the shop, which had now become The Giving Tree, to our present location in the Little Brittox, Devizes.  And now, in October 2020 we are very excited to have been able to launch our new website.
This is now a fully functioning online shop.  We launched with a varied selection of the items that are in the “proper” shop (which will now be referred to as the shop) and have been adding more over the past few weeks.  In addition we are able to include on the website all of the items that we stock – because of the limitations of space in the shop we can only ever have a selection on display with the rest in our warehouse.
We will continue to add more to the website both as we catch up with the backlog and as we source more lines.
And that brings us to another special October event.  The shop has now obtained a licence to sell alcohol and we have some interesting alcohol gift sets both in the shop and on the website.  There will be more added early next week.
