Christmas Starts in the Sunshine

While everyone else is making the most of the sunshine, planning holidays and enjoying long summer evenings, we're often doing something that surprises people... Planning Christmas. It still seems strange to have festive catalogues spread across the garden table alongside a notebook and a well-earned G&T, but for us, Christmas doesn't begin in October. In fact, it begins much earlier.

If you've ever wondered how Christmas arrives on our shelves each autumn, here's a little secret...

It actually begins back in January and February.

That's when the catalogues arrive, suppliers launch their new collections and we start making some of the biggest buying decisions of the year. We're looking for new ideas, rediscovering old favourites and choosing gifts we hope you'll love just as much as we do.

Fast forward a few months and summer is in full swing.

While most people are enjoying the sunshine, we're back with those same catalogues, reviewing everything we've ordered. Have we chosen enough? Is there something we've missed? Has a new trend caught our eye?

It's our chance to make sure we've created a Christmas collection that feels just right.

One of our favourite moments is rediscovering something we chose months earlier and remembering exactly why we loved it. It might sound strange, but that's when Christmas starts to feel real.

No decorations. No carols. Just excitement for what's to come.
